The Southern Loyalists Network was founded in April 2003. The goal of the SL was to bring further awareness to the modern
struggle for Southern Independence and to provide a forum for other organizations and people to communicate ideas,
organize and work together on mutual projects.
By the end of 2003 the SL had finished building thier website and had a South-wide news page with a dozen or so stories
added each week.
In 2004 the SL created the Jefferson Davis Fan Club on Yahoo! By the end of the first month the JDFC had over 50 members.
In 2005 the SL began to work with the Southern Parties of the Southwest, League of the South and the 2nd Missouri Calvary.
Between 2004-2006 the SL worked with groups around the world, in various capacities, to aid them in their own quest for
liberty. The SL also maintained a loose alliance with the Constitution Party and Christian Exodus.
Between 2006-2007 the SL became linked with the Southern Party of Tennessee and the Confederate Alliance.
In Nov. 2006 the SL along with the SPTN websites were taken down due to lack of funding.
For the whole of it's 3 year history the SL ran soley off the work of volunteers. Funds came in through donations
and the selling of products. As time went on the SL became more and more engrossed in the process of international recognition
and driving the push for the South to gain entrance in the UNPO (Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization).
Costs became rather exorbitant and outstripped income.
At the start of 2008 the SL and all affiliated groups and websites began the creation of the Southern Loyalists Network.
